PLAY
Designed to inspire children and families by creating
learning opportunities around innovative play and discovery, the new 50,000
square foot Glazer Children’s Museum will have a combination of permanent and
traveling exhibits, comprehensive programs, and special events. COMING SPRING 2010
DISCOVER
For young children, play is learning. Museum exhibits are interactive… engaging children’s hands and minds as they plan, learn, and discover. In an environment designed specifically for them, children will be in charge of their own experience.
LEARN
Educational programs will focus on the interrelationships between disciplines, such as science, social studies and art, while consistently promoting and incorporating literacy and basic mathematics. This holistic, interdisciplinary approach will enable us to develop our children as better learners, equipped with the tools and skills to become future leaders, scientists, artists, teachers and decision makers for our community.

"All children are musicians; all children are artists. Play is work for them that constantly extends their limits--it is a most vital creative function. If we can make it rich, the best that is human will flourish within the child." - Susan Castro Scheduled to open in
downtown Tampa in the Spring of 2010, the Glazer Children's Museum's mission is to inspire
children and families by creating learning opportunities around innovative play
and discovery. The new 50,000 square foot facility will provide an exceptional learning environment for
children and the adults in their lives. Here, visitors of all ages will interact
with one another, learn with and from each other, try, explore, test, figure out,
imagine, laugh, cooperate and play their way to new understandings.
Opportunities for learning in novel ways are plentiful. To learn more about the museum and how to help, call 813.277.3199 or use the Contact button in the top menu.
